A typical career path looks something like this.

Pawnbroker

Pawnbrokers are the heart of our business. They partner with the entire staff of the shop to ensure high levels of customer service on both the lending and retail side by engaging and interacting with customers to process sales and loan activity and transactions. Pawnbrokers will work with all levels of jewelry and general merchandise, as well as all financial solutions offered to customer base. This position also earns commission on everything they sell.

Shift Lead

Our Shift Lead position plays a vital role in the shop. They assist in managing the customer relations atmosphere in the shop as well as aiding in the training of Pawnbrokers. They work directly with management to insure that operating standards meet and exceed our expectations.

Assistant Manager Trainee

The Assistant Manager Trainee will spend their first 8 weeks in our Management Training Program designed to get the trainee up to speed quickly. This program combines on-the-job experience with formal training (including classroom and e-Learning). The program is designed to provide you the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to help ensure your success at Cash America.

Assistant Manager

The Assistant Shop Manager partners with the Shop Manager to lead and develop store coworkers, and recruit and retain top talent. This role partners with the Shop Manager to maximize financial goals and manage Customer Relations and Customer Satisfaction. Leading by example and promoting our company values the Assistant Shop Manager sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

Shop Manager Trainee

For the first eight weeks of employment, the Shop Manager Trainees will participate in our Management Training Program, our fast track leadership development curriculum, designed to get the trainee up to speed in the most efficient way possible. This program combines on-the-job experience with formal training (including classroom and e-Learning) in an eight week program. In addition to your direct supervisor, you will be paired with a mentor to develop your skills. The program is designed to provide you the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to help ensure your success at Cash America.

Shop Manager

Shop Managers are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the shop, promoting a positive and productive environment. They lead, coach and develop store coworkers, and recruit and retain top talent. They are responsible to maximize financial goals and manage Customer Relations and Customer Satisfaction. Leading by example and promoting our company values the Shop Manager sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

District Manager

The District Manager is responsible for developing and coaching a team of Store Managers/Supervisors (10-15 shops) who can successfully execute all company initiatives while ensuring that all financial results meet or exceed plan. They create and cultivate a high-energy, high-performing district where people want to work and grow.

Region Director

The Region Director is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for an area of shops (between 90 and 120 locations). They attract, retain, and motivate the best talent available at all levels in the region.
