Job Description

Position Summary:
This position partners with various functions of HR using extensive knowledge of ADP systems and other technical skills to provide user and project support. Incumbent will monitor information needs and the integrity of system data as well as maintaining HR tables and other non-programming related system functionality.


General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using ADP systems and other in-house HR applications, create, implement, and maintain necessary HR reporting for each business segment (compensation, benefits, employee relations, staffing, etc.)
  • Establish and maintain necessary documentation for reporting purposes. Develop data queries per business needs; schedule and track output of queries to monitor anomalies and make timely corrections to avoid negative impact to the business
  • General and recurring maintenance of organizational structure in HRIS systems
  • Continually meet with HR users to perform needs analysis for data and departmental process improvements. Identify opportunities to maximize user efficiencies in all HRIS systems and work to implement those improvements. Exercise judgment in prioritizing user needs versus wants
  • Making use of general HR knowledge, monitor HRIS practices from a legal viewpoint to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Function as a researcher and problem solver for HR group on any ADP or HRIS-related problem or issue so that users can stay focused on performing their individual job function
  • Manage testing of new processes and reporting in support of HR and other functions. Provide user training as needed to encourage department ownership of certain HRIS capabilities. Educate new users on HRIS systems as directed by department heads. Answer questions from user group about employee data, reporting, and other system-related matters
  • Serve as technical and maintenance lead and/or backup on all HRIS programs used by HR team
  • Provide accurate, relevant and timely information and assistance to internal customers, striving to maintain the highest quality and customer service standards in all areas of responsibility


Minimum Attributes Required to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position:

  • 4-5 years of Human Resource experience, with at least 3 years in an HRIS or HR technology role
  • Prior administrator experience of ADP products (Vantage & Recruiting Management preferred)
  • Advanced computer skills (power-user level) including Excel advanced functionalities for data validation; analytical ability to evaluate complex datasets
  • Strong judgment and initiative for resolving problems and making decisions and/or recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal, and written communication skills to express complex concepts in simple terms
  • Extremely detail-oriented and accurate in all tasks performed
